The idea of a dress sparks anytime. There is always so much around inspiring us to create and enhance. Selling designs could be hard for someone with great ideas and average drawing skills. Every fashion designer was once a beginner. Gather your spirits and grab those pencils.
The model on which we design our clothes is called croquis. An average croquis can put off an amazing design. When choosing a croquis we should be thoughtful of its posture and its features. The body shape must elevate the nuances of the design. Forget drawing it by hand let the internet do that for you. Choose the perfect croquis for your design it could be a figure of a child, a robust man or a petit woman. Alternatively, you can choose to trace it from a magazine or other available source. If you are a fan of iPads you can create your own templates and its easier to work on the layers. If you are a laptop person try using adobe illustrators. Every surface has its tool all we have to do is explore
Think of making illustrations flat as if the clothes were spread on a flat surface. Learn how to make patterns. Illustrate how the patterns will look on the model. Sketch the outline of the patterned garment, like a skirt or blouse. Divide it into a grid with different sections. Fill within the sections one at a time with the pattern on the material. Observe how folds, pleats, and wrinkles change the looks of a pattern. Note where it has to be flowy or sharp.make sure you maintain symmetry while making patterns.
